The Engineering and Design Division provides support and oversight of municipal infrastructure including parks and public spaces, landscaping, local streets and sidewalks, water and wastewater lines, and storm water management. The division reviews all submitted project plans to verify compliance with City Ordinances, and it supports all City departments by managing new City construction projects. Engineering and Design also provides landscape design services and serves as a liaison between the City and various state and federal agencies such as the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, North Carolina Department Of Transportation, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
