Welcome to Morganton Public Safety

Morganton Public Safety is a full service police and ISO Class 3 fire agency. We are one of only a few left in the country that provides combined police and fire services to our residents. We have successfully operated a public safety model since the 1970’s.

The men and women of Morganton Public Safety are committed to providing exceptional police and fire services to our residents, business owners and visitors to our community.

We strongly believe in partnering with the community and other agencies to build and maintain relationships. Those relationships are fundamental to our success.

Community engagement is the cornerstone of our agency. Our relationships with the community are made and grown through the agency’s partnerships, our outreach into the community and having, “out of car experiences.”

As an agency, we will never become stationary in the pursuit of the highest quality police and fire services. We will always remain on a journey, in search of ways that we can further support our community.

We, the members of Morganton Public Safety, are committed to protect the lives, property, and Constitutional Rights of all residents and visitors of OUR community by providing professional law enforcement and fire protection services.  We are committed to enhance the quality of life in the City of Morganton by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, reduce fear, and maintain order.  Public Safety is committed to accomplishing its mission to protect the lives and property of all citizens of Morganton by treating every citizen with courtesy, professionalism, and respect and to enforce the laws impartially.
