Fire and Professional Standards

The Fire and Professional Standards Bureau includes the Fire Division, all office personnel, training and recruiting, Animal Control, Budget Office, Communications, Parking Enforcement, Records and Training. The Bureau is directed by Assistant Chief Ryan Lander.

The Fire and Professional Standards Bureau also manages the department fleet; Public Safety has a robust fleet of nearly one hundred police and fire specialty vehicles and apparatus at an approximate value of five million dollars. This Bureau is responsible for the recruitment and hiring of all Public Safety personnel to include Public Safety Officers, Fire Engineers. Support Services also is responsible for the logistic needs of the department as well as oversight of real property including Public Safety Headquarters and three fire stations.
