Fire Inspections

The Fire Inspector reviews and enforces state fire inspection codes for all residential and commercial construction in the City of Morganton.

Fire inspections are done on a routine basis, which includes daycares, schools, foster homes, alcoholic beverage control (ABC), and commercial inspections.

Fire Inspection Fees

• Underground Storage Tank (Commercial only Installation or Removal) — $ 50.00
• Fireworks Public Display or Display for Sale — $100.00
• Carnival / Fairs / Circus — $100.00 (per hour) 
• Flea Markets — $100.00 (per hour) 
• Festivals — $100.00 (per hour) 
• Fire Inspection — See table below
• Safety (ABC inspection) — $80.00
