The City of Morganton was awarded NCDEQ funding through the State Revolving Fund Supplemental Appropriations for Hurricane Helene (referred to as the “SRF Helene” funds) for resilience-based water projects within the water utility. A firm needs to be selected to begin designing the projects and offer professional guidance to staff on maximizing funding. The City of Morganton, North Carolina (“City”) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified engineering firms interested in providing design, grant administrative support, and writing associated reports and opinions on water distribution projects, primarily for projects funded through the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) and related state and federal funding programs. This RFQ does not commit the City to award a contract or to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a response. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to waive informalities, and to request additional information.
