Community Appearance Advisory Commission

The Community Appearance Advisory Commission was created to initiate, promote, and assist in the implementation of programs of general community beautification in Morganton and its environs, to seek to coordinate the activities of individuals, agencies, organizations, public and private, whose plans, activities and programs bear upon the appearance of Morganton and its environs, and to provide leadership and guidance in matters of area and community design and appearance to individuals, and to public and private organizations, and agencies.

Meetings

The commission generally meets at 4:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month at City Hall. The commission shall hold at least one meeting per quarter. CAAC are open to the public. Please call 828-438-5362 to confirm meeting times.

Members

The community appearance advisory commission consists of members who must be citizens and residents of the Morganton area planning and zoning jurisdiction. Members are appointed by the Mayor to three-year terms.
