The Morganton Parks & Recreation Department is looking for an energetic, organized, flexible individual to join the hometown team as a Summer Programs Supervisor to help plan and coordinate recreational / leisure activities for youth, adults and seniors in the community.  This is a great opportunity for someone who is considering a career in the field of Parks and Recreations.    

This position works closely with the Parks and Recreation Program Supervisor and requires great customer service, ability to work as part of a team, and sound judgment and discretion in the application and interpretation policies and procedures.  This position will assist with Summer Camp, special events and other programs/activities (including athletics) as needed.  Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.  Interest and / or experience in therapeutic recreation is valued.  Starting pay rate is $11.00 / hour.  This is a temporary job currently scheduled for 30-40 hours a week during the summer season; possibility for position to continue on a part time basis after the summer.
