The City of Morganton is soliciting proposals for a turnkey replacement for the existing standby generator set and transfer switch at its Public Safety Headquarters. The existing system is a natural gas system that has reached the end of its usable lifespan. The goal of this project is to end up with a brand-new standby system capable of providing approximately 200 kW at 480GY/277 volts, with a new automatic transfer switch, and all new conductors from the generator to the transfer switch, and any additional parts or materials needed for a complete replacement of the existing standby generator system.
