Tracy was formally trained in oils but in the last decade has been drawn to the speed and vibrancy of painting in acrylics. She paints layer upon layer to create depth and depict light. Her obsession is with the way light plays on subjects, so much of her work is a study of contrast and color, while striving to capture the beauty of nature, whether in landscape, still life or figurative subjects. Tracy is a Granite Falls, NC based artist.
