Morganton, NC – March 13, 2026 — The Morganton Department of Public Safety responded to a reported structure fire on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Carolina Smoke, located at 101 Steakhouse Road in Morganton.
Fire and police units arrived on scene shortly after the call was received and observed flames and smoke coming from the front of the business. Fire personnel quickly initiated fire suppression efforts and were able to bring the fire under control.
Units from Burke County EMS were also on scene to assist during the incident.
At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.
