This position patrols the downtown area for parking violations, marks tires, and issues parking tickets to vehicle owners found in violation.  The position is responsible for collecting fines, maintaining accurate financial records, and making deposits to city hall.  The officer will also be responsible for maintaining parking files, issuing parking permits, preparing final notice and past due parking letters, position will also assist Records personnel during peak periods or in the event of staff absences. Work requires the ability to communicate with tact and courtesy with the public in enforcing regulations. Applicant must be a high school graduate, have a valid driver’s license and must be able to successfully complete departmental training program.  Ability to operate a computer terminal and perform data entry with the speed and accuracy required. Applicant will be subject to a comprehensive criminal history and background check.  Salary range $ 30,555 - $45,833.
