Park

Due to damage from Hurricane Helene the following parks are closed until further notice as they undergo repairs:

- Catawba River Soccer Complex

- The Morganton Greenway - The only closed portion is starting at the Rockyford Access point (near HWY 18/64 going toward Lenoir) until the first wooden overlook. Please DO NOT enter this area as there is dangerous drop-offs due to damage to the greenway from Hurricane Helene. The boardwalk at the River Village Shopping Complex is currently being rebuilt. For those walking on the greenway you will need to go through the parking lot instead of the boardwalk.

The following parks are open to the public:

Bethel Park, Catawba Meadows Park, Drexel Heritage Park, Freedom Park, Carbon City Park, Martin Luther King Jr. Park and Martha's Park
