IX. North Carolina Municipal Power Agency Number 1 Update – Elections for the NCMPA1 Board of Directors will be held on November 19, 2019. Joseph P. Albright of Gastonia and Mayor Constantine H. Kutteh, Statesville are running unopposed.

C. Consideration of Taxicab Franchise
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve issuance of Taxicab Franchises to Michael W. Gilbert (Ace Cab) and Claudia Morales (Becerra Translation & Associates).
D. Consideration of Award of Contract for Roof Replacement / Equipment Services Building
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Award a contract to Johnson Roofing Concepts, Inc. in the amount of $57,738 for roof replacement at the Equipment Services Building.
E. Consideration of Award of Contract for Installation of Gas Pack Units / Mountain View Recreation Center
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Award a contract to Triangle Contractors in the amount of $94,500 to install two gas pack units at the Mountain View Recreation Center.
F. Consideration of Award of Contract for Installation of a Generator / City Hall
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Award a contract to Power Generation & Control in the amount of $69,708.33 to install a diesel generator / transfer switch at City Hall.
G. Consideration to Declare Surplus / 2007 Sterling Knuckle Boom
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Declare surplus a 2007 Sterling (VIN# 2FZHAWB508A244255) with a Lemco knuckle boom Model 7000 (Serial #071768).
H. Consideration of Award of Contract to Turner Waterproofing / Collett Street Recreation Center Roof
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Award a contract to Turner Waterproofing to re-roof the lower section of the Collett Street Recreation Center with a Fibertitie/ISO tapered system at a cost of $59,930.
I. Consideration of Approval of Construction Specifications for Electric Services 600 amps or Higher
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize and approve the City of Morganton Construction Specifications for Electric Services 600 amps or Higher to take effect immediately.
J. Consideration of Contracting with Uptown Services for Consulting Services / CoMPAS
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Contract with Uptown Services at a cost of $29,000 to be paid over 2 years for Consulting Services and development of a 3-year strategic plan for CoMPAS.
