City Council recognized and honored retiring Customer Service Manager Lamina Duckworth for her more than 30 years of service with the City of Morganton.
RESOLUTION HONORING LAMINA L. DUCKWORTH
WHEREAS, Lamina L. Duckworth was employed by the City of Morganton as Dispatcher in the Public Safety Department on November 7, 1990; transferred to Records Clerk in the Public Safety Department on January 4, 1994; promoted to Deputy Tax Collector in the Finance Department on December 22, 1997; promoted to Assistant Finance Director on February 4, 2000; transferred to Tax Collector on January 29, 2004; promoted to Customer Service Manager on January 2, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Lamina L. Duckworth has faithfully served the City of Morganton in the Public Safety and Finance Departments, and has given of her time and efforts for the benefit of the citizens of Morganton for twenty-eight years, six months; and
WHEREAS, Lamina L. Duckworth retired from the City of Morganton as Customer Service Manager of the Finance Department on March 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Morganton City Council wishes to officially recognize the contributions of Lamina L. Duckworth and express their appreciation for a job well done.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Morganton that the Mayor presents this Resolution to Lamina L. Duckworth.

City Council recognized and honored reitiring Captain of CID Evidence, William Trent DeVinney, on his more than 30 years of service with Morganton Public Safety.
DeVinney retired with his service weapon and firefighter's helmet.

WHEREAS, William Trent DeVinney was employed by the City of Morganton as Public Safety Officer Trainee in the Public Safety Department on February 20, 1989; promoted to Public Safety Officer on July 10, 1989; promoted to Sergeant on March 7, 1998; promoted to Captain on June 21, 2007; transferred from Platoon Captain to Captain, CID Evidence; and
WHEREAS, William Trent DeVinney has faithfully served the City of Morganton in the Public Safety Department, and has given of his time and efforts for the benefit of the citizens of Morganton for thirty years, one month; and
WHEREAS, William Trent DeVinney retired from the City of Morganton as Captain, CID Evidence of Public Safety Department on February 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Morganton City Council wishes to officially recognize the contributions of William Trent DeVinney and express their appreciation for a job well done.

WHEREAS, Jimmy R. York has faithfully served the City of Morganton in the Electric Department, and has given of his time and efforts for the benefit of the citizens of Morganton for twenty years, one month; and
WHEREAS, Jimmy R. York retired from the City of Morganton as Line Technician I of Electric Department on March 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Morganton City Council wishes to officially recognize the contributions of Jimmy R. York and express their appreciation for a job well done.
