The Morganton Human Relations Commission wants to hear from you!

There is a Public Meeting of the HRC at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, September 22 at the Mountain View Rec Center.

One of the purposes of the Human Relations Commission is to identify issues of oppression, discrimination, and injustice in Morganton. We encourage citizens to share issues, ideas, and concerns with us so the Commission can investigate issues, make recommendations to City Council, and develop programs to more Morganton forward in equal rights, inclusion, and understanding.

The Commission would like to hear from the public to help it identify projects and priorities as we move forward. Our next meeting will be held at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, September 22 at the Mountain View Rec Center (645 First Street - that’s behind Mountain View School off Sanford Drive and Bouchelle Street). The public is invited and encouraged to come to share any issues or concerns as they pertain to the City. If you are planning on attending, it would be appreciated if you could let us know ahead of time to ensure we have enough space.
